Sarah Palin likes to say that Barack Obama has to tell the "total truth" about whatever connection he may have with William Ayres.
In America, we all live under the same set of standards, right? Fair for the goose, fair for the gander?
Okay, then. John, why have you been so dishonest?
What does John McCain have to hide, and why is he being so dishonest about it?
"A review of the personal financial disclosure forms McCain filed after his election to the U.S. House in 1982 show that he did not list the group in the section of his 1982, 1983 and 1984 reports in which he was required to disclose all positions he held outside of government.
The instructions on the form require filers to report 'the identity of all positions held on or before the date of the filing during the current calendar year as an officer, director, trustee, partner, proprietor, representative, employee, or consultant of any corporation, firm, partnership, or other business enterprise, any nonprofit organization, any labor organization, or any educational or other institution.'" - Kenneth P. Vogel
Why is John McCain afraid to tell the "total truth" (thanks, Sarah!) about his involvement with the U.S. Council for World Freedom, sitting on their board while they funded death squads, and was connected to terror bombings in Italy?
Equally important is why John McCain filed false personal financial disclosure forms several times during the 1980s.
I think it's time for John McCain to tell the "total truth", because it appears he certainly wasn't do so, even in 1982.
To quote the McCain campaign, "how dishonorable".
