And yes, he got the tourney lead by calling from way behind a handful of times. So instead of a shot at $7k, I'm again left with a piddling $90. Oh well. I can't complain about my play. I was as high as 500k chips, but I had to make a tough laydown a few hands before with AQo when BB who called my pf raise bet 150k into a K-high flushing board.

But really, you're the tourney chipleader, and you can't lay down A9o to a 3-bet shove from a mid-sized stack player who hasn't shown down trash? When you're only in the hand for 2 BB?

Like I told him in chat, once he turned over, I was thrilled with the call, but really, any kind of half assed player would have laid that down, and I'd have been equally happy with taking it down preflop. It's just too bad that bad play is so well rewarded so often, and I'm busted nearly six hours into a tournament, after 310 hands, but such a bad call.

LOL, in the time it's taken me to write this post, he's dropped from 1st to 7th, and is now looking to not even make the final table. Oh well. I did have to make two big suckouts in hour #5 just to still be in it, so I'm not really pissed off, just frustrated that once again, my permanent nickname seems to fit.

Anyway, finished 50th out of 4500 players, and had two other min-cashes tonight. Unfortunately, this one was truly a missed opportunity, as I was as high as 14th with about 60 remaining.

I had two other min-cashes on the evening, but this one hurt, given the beating my bankroll's taken lately. This was my best chance thus far to get it all back, and then some.

Nevertheless it felt good to play again, especially as I probably won't be hitting the online poker tables again for another week or so, at least, given two gig in a week and Xmas.

Have a great weekend.

I was trying to explain to my wife today how we get pissed at terrible calls that cripple us. She just doesn't get it.

What a stupid freaking call. Hate to see morons like that go deep while you get screwed.

Good luck with the band!

Being able to lay a hand down is the difference between a moron and a real player. You want them to make plays like this, but sometimes they get lucky.
